So according to CNN the Centre for Disease Control has identified the first case of Ebola in the United States. It goes without saying that this is not a positive development and I truly hope that they can nip this in the bud very quickly. As someone who has had to live a few days under lock down due to roaming gunmen randomly killing people I'd just like to say Moncton, you have my sympathies. Here's hoping this guy gets found and stopped. Preferably alive, but not if it means a sixth person gets shot.

Five university students killed at a house party in Calgary. Four people stabbed in a Regina mall.

What the hell?  This is just nauseating. My condolences to the victims and their families.

I really hope this isn't just part of a chain of copycats. :(

I am horrified. Just absolutely horrified.  This thing blew up right by a packed bar watching a concert and the sad fact is their might not be bodies left to recover.

It will be interesting what new safety regulations are made from this. Blood sadly is the ink that such rules are written in and we must never forget that.

I don't know exactly what happened in Boston.  I also don't expect to for a while since these type of incidents tend to generate a lot of information to sort through and much of it will be inaccurate. That being said, everybody, EVERYBODY be careful, ok?

Those are the words I'd be screaming if I was in this Russian's car. Apparently this was a small meteor that caused this much damage. Reports on casualties are varying from 150 to 500 injured but thankfully so far I haven't read of any deaths ( Read more... )
